A three-day trip to Naran in 2026 can cost approximately PKR
55,000-95,000 for a couple and PKR 80,000-150,000 for a family of four. These
estimates include transport from Islamabad, two hotel nights, meals, one jeep
excursion and a small emergency allowance.
Naran does not have one standard trip price. A couple
travelling by bus on weekdays will spend much less than a family driving during
the summer holidays and booking a large room at the last minute.
Transport and accommodation normally take the largest share
of the budget. Food, jeep rides and activities may appear inexpensive
individually, but they add up over several days. The figures in this guide were
checked in August 2026 and should be treated as planning estimates rather than
fixed rates.

The lower estimates assume weekday travel, advance booking
and controlled meals. Peak weekends, extra activities and rooms push the total
towards the upper end.
Before calculating a budget, decide how you will travel and
what you actually want to see. The main cost factors are:
·
Your departure city and transport method
·
The number of travellers and nights
·
Hotel and room category
·
Weekday, weekend or public-holiday dates
·
The number of jeep excursions
·
Restaurant choices and optional activities
Bus tickets and meals increase with every traveller, but hotel
rooms, private-car fuel and jeep fares can be shared by a couple, family or
group.
Islamabad is a useful starting point because many travellers
pass through the capital before continuing to Naran. The usual route is
Islamabad → Hazara Expressway → Mansehra → Balakot → Kaghan → Naran.
The journey is often described as six or seven hours, but
summer traffic around Balakot, Kaghan and Naran can extend it to eight or nine
hours. Leaving Islamabad early in the morning reduces the risk of reaching the
mountain section after dark.
A one-way bus ticket from Islamabad to Naran currently costs
approximately PKR 3,500 - 4,500 per person, depending on the operator and
vehicle category.
·
Return ticket for one person: PKR 7,000 - 9,000
·
Return transport for a couple: PKR 14,000 - 18,000
·
Return transport for four passengers: PKR 28,000
- 36,000
Bus travel is usually cheapest for one or two people, but
local transport may still be required after arrival. For four travellers, compare
the combined bus fare with driving costs.
The Islamabad-to-Naran return journey is approximately 550 -
580 kilometres. Local driving and an excursion towards Lulusar Lake or Babusar
Top can increase the total to 700 - 800 kilometres.
Petrol was approximately PKR 327.62 per litre on 10 August
2026. Mountain driving usually consumes more fuel than ordinary motorway
driving because of steep climbs, slow traffic, idling and frequent stops.

Add approximately PKR 700 for the return Hazara Expressway
toll and keep extra money for unexpected local driving. A practical private-car
transport budget from Islamabad is PKR 19,000 - 30,000.
Babusar Top is approximately 65 - 70 kilometres from Naran.
A return excursion adds around 130 - 140 kilometres and approximately PKR 3,500
- 5,500 in fuel. A jeep is not normally required when the road is open and your
vehicle is in good condition, but the driver must be comfortable with steep
climbs, sharp bends and rapidly changing weather.
Room rates change throughout the season. The same room can
be reasonably priced from Monday to Thursday and noticeably more expensive on a
Saturday, public holiday or during school vacations.

A low rate may exclude important facilities. Confirm hot
water, power backup, parking, breakfast, heating, room capacity and
extra-mattress charges before paying an advance.
For a standard or 3-star stay, allow PKR 20,000 - 40,000 for
two nights, PKR 30,000 - 60,000 for three nights and PKR 40,000 - 80,000 for
four nights.
Mount Feast Hotel
is a 3-star hotel on Main Mansehra - Naran Road, with introductory room rates
starting from approximately PKR 10,000, depending on the room category and
travel date. Deluxe, Executive, Triplet, Quad and Presidential room options
allow couples, families and groups to select accommodation according to
occupancy.
Complimentary breakfast and parking can reduce spending
elsewhere. Contact
the hotel directly for the final price because weekend, holiday and peak-season
rates may differ.
Food is easy to underestimate. Tea, snacks, bottled water
and meals during excursions can add several thousand rupees to the daily
budget.

A couple should allow around PKR 12,000 - 27,000 for three
days, while a family of four may spend PKR 24,000 - 50,000. Shared karahi, BBQ
platters and breakfast thalis often provide better value than separate dishes.
If breakfast is included in the room rate, eat before leaving for Saif-ul-Muluk
or Babusar Top, where choices can be limited or more expensive.
Jeep fares are normally charged for the vehicle rather than
per passenger, which makes them economical for families and groups.
The return jeep fare from Naran to Saif-ul-Muluk is
approximately PKR 3,500 - 4,500 per jeep. The rough track normally takes 45 - 60
minutes each way, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Before leaving, confirm the total return fare, waiting time,
passenger limit, pickup point and whether any parking charge is included.
A jeep excursion to Lalazar generally costs approximately
PKR 4,000 - 5,000. The price can change with road conditions, demand and the
starting point. Visitors planning both Saif-ul-Muluk and Lalazar on separate
days should reserve PKR 7,500 - 10,000 for jeep transport.
Confirm an activity’s price, duration and route before
starting because a quoted rate may cover only a short session.

For simple planning, a couple should keep approximately PKR
55,000 - 100,000. Weekday bus travel and a room with breakfast will keep the
cost lower. A private car, premium dining and a weekend stay will move it
higher.
A family travelling in its own car could budget as follows:

- 149,500 |
A realistic rounded budget is PKR 80,000 - 150,000. The
biggest variables are whether the family needs one or two rooms and whether
children require separate beds and breakfasts.
Group-tour packages may start around PKR 15,500 - 35,000 per
person for shorter trips. They can be economical for solo travellers because
transport and rooms are shared, but low advertised prices do not always include
every expense.
Before booking, ask whether the package covers:
·
Saif-ul-Muluk jeep and Babusar Top excursion
·
Breakfast, lunch and dinner
·
Hotel category and room-sharing arrangement
·
Entry fees and optional activities
·
Tolls, driver expenses and local transfers
An independent trip costs more for one person but can work
better for a family. It gives you control over the hotel, meals and schedule
when rain or road conditions interrupt an excursion.
Expect higher prices on Friday and Saturday nights, Eid
holidays, public holidays, school vacations and peak July or August dates.
Last-minute hotel reservations can also be expensive because suitable family
rooms and parking spaces sell first.
You do not need to select the cheapest option in every
category. The best savings come from avoiding unnecessary or duplicated
expenses:
·
Travel between Sunday and Thursday.
·
Reserve the hotel before leaving home.
·
Choose accommodation with breakfast and parking.
·
Confirm room capacity and extra-person charges.
·
Share jeep expenses with your family or group.
·
Carry water and snacks on longer excursions.
·
Visit Lulusar Lake and Babusar Top on the same
day.
·
Agree on jeep and activity prices in advance.
·
Keep at least 10% of the budget for emergencies.
A couple should budget approximately PKR 55,000 - 100,000,
while a family of four should allow PKR 80,000–150,000 for a three-day,
two-night trip from Islamabad.
Basic rooms may start near PKR 5,000 - 8,000, while standard
and 3-star hotel rooms generally range from PKR 8,000 - 20,000. Family suites
and premium rooms can exceed PKR 30,000 during busy dates.
The estimated return fare is PKR 3,500 - 4,500 per jeep.
Confirm the waiting time and full return fare before departure.
A bus is normally cheaper for one or two people. For a
family of three or four, a private car may provide better overall value once
the combined ticket cost and local transport are considered.
Carry enough cash for jeep fares, food, activities and emergencies
because card acceptance and connectivity can be inconsistent. Keep the main
amount secure and divide emergency cash between responsible adults.
In 2026, a carefully planned three-day Naran trip costs
approximately PKR 55,000 - 100,000 for a couple and PKR 80,000 - 150,000 for a
family of four. Travelling on weekdays, booking early and choosing a hotel with
breakfast can keep the cost under control.
Do not build your budget around the cheapest price found
online. Use realistic fuel consumption, confirm hotel inclusions and keep money
aside for jeep rides and weather-related changes.
